Love Sauce Pizzeria in the east village! The pizza is delicious and you can tell they use high quality ingredients. Love how every slice comes with a side of sauce, genius! My go to slices are the upside down thin/thick slices and the vodka slice! The staff is always super friendly and love the artwork they have inside and outside as well.

A popular neighborhood pizza joint. The regular slice is thin and crispy. The square slice is thick and soft, almost like focaccia, the good one. The signature sauce goes particularly well with the square pizza. The soda is from a local groumet company boylan which has many unique flavor. Overall a solid option for a quick bite.

Came by at 6:30pm on a Monday and it was surprisingly empty. Got a slice of the regular cheese and a slice of the upside down cheese. Both were pretty good and the Prez’ review was warranted although I think I liked the upside down one more than the regular. All in all great spot.

This is a good New York slice. It’s thin and crispy. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the whole sauce on the side thing, but I have no other way to put it than it’s a great New York slice. I tried the cheese slice, which is pictured, along with a look at different angles of the restaurant. I appreciated the 90s rap music they were playing. There are a decent amount of seats along with 3 counter seats.

Sauce Pizzeria was on my bucket list ever since Dave from Barstool gave it his famous/infamous 9.1 review. I’m glad to say it lives up to he hype! My favorites (they are all really excellent btw) from best to least is classic cheese, vodka, pepperoni, then upside down.

Without a doubt glad I went, the experience alone was entertaining. And I did really like the sauce, but the pizza wasn’t the best I’ve had in New York. Spectacular for anywhere else, but in the city with some of the best pizza in the world, Sauce is good, but not spectacular. Go enjoy, and explore. Definitely will need a second try at some point though.

We got a whole cheese pizza and it was fantastic! The dough was fresh, the cheese was tasty and the sauce was delicious. The fresh basil was nice too. Will definitely come back!
